MCS Quantico
Beginnings
1st Marine Division
Marine Corps League

I took a couple of increments of
PLC's and NROTC Midshipmen through the Summer OCS Program at Marine Corps Schools (MCS)
Quantico in 1959. I'm the "Buck" Sergeant on the right, up
front. Note: Officers and Staff NCOs carried swagger sticks. Check out the sweat soaked uniforms on the PLC class photo on the
left. If you see yourself, give me a shout. Anyone help name the Officer in the PLC Platoon?
Semper Fi!
These were taken when I was stationed at MCS Quantico.
(Left) Standing tall at the Iwo Jima Memorial in Wash. D.C.
in 1960. Me and my buddy, Vance, were pulling a little "Dress
Blues" liberty. I'm on the left. Look at the rake in those covers.
(Right) Taken at the Marine Corps Birthday Ball, 10 November 1960. Medal
on right is Leatherneck Award for shooting 239 with the M-1 Rifle.
